The Symplicity Communications Newsletter: June 2026 Edition

A common theme has emerged in many of the conversations I’ve had recently—with business leaders, technology partners, podcast guests, and customers alike. The organizations making the greatest progress with AI and digital transformation aren’t necessarily moving the fastest; they’re moving with intention. They’re asking thoughtful questions, investing in education, and focusing on solving real business challenges rather than chasing the latest trend.

At Symplicity, we’re committed to helping our clients navigate this evolving landscape with confidence. From AI workshops and industry conferences to new certifications, strategic partnerships, and community events, we’re continuously learning and growing alongside the organizations we serve. This month’s newsletter highlights some of those exciting developments, introduces new members of our team, and offers a glimpse into what’s ahead as we prepare for a busy and innovative second half of the year.

Best Regards,

Catherine

Symplicity Communications and Novus Data Journeys Host Community AI Workshop Event

85% of CEOs believe their organizations have gaps in data traceability, meaning they can’t fully track where their data originates or how it’s used. Without governance, AI initiatives carry real operational and legal risk.

Many organizations are moving quickly to deploy AI, but they haven’t done the foundational work around data governance, lineage, ownership, and security. If you don’t understand where your data comes from, who has access to it, or how it’s being used, it’s difficult to trust the outputs or manage the risk.

In May, a group of Grand Rapids area business leaders joined us at the Symplicity Communications office to discuss how organizations truly get ready for AI. An honest conversation was had about asking the hard questions about Data and AI readiness. Roberta McCarter of Novus Data Journeys led that conversation and provided great information about the path to foundational AI success.

Most AI pilots are failing, and that failure usually comes from organizational unpreparedness.

With our partners at Novus Data Journeys, we turn AI readiness into an ongoing advantage, not a problem you keep rediscovering.

Symplicity Communications Attends NiCE World

The Symplicity Communications, Inc. team is always out there looking to improve our knowledge and skills and build the connections necessary to help out clients in new and exciting ways!

Symplicity Communications President and CEO, Catherine Ripley, traveled to Orlando, Florida earlier this month to attend the NiCE World conference.

NiCE World 2026 brought together thousands of CX leaders, innovators, and practitioners for three days focused on what’s next in customer experience, AI, and automation. Catherine explored real-world strategies, connected with peers across industries, and experienced how AI is reshaping customer service at enterprise scale.

AI has entered a new phase where success will come not from individual AI tools, but from orchestrating AI at enterprise scale to proactively resolve customer needs, reduce costs, improve experiences, and drive measurable business outcomes. AI is a transformational business shift that will fundamentally change customer experience (CX), operations, and workforce productivity. It will solve business problems but not necessarily be a technology ask. In other words, this isn’t the IT departments problem to solve, rather businesses need to get all the stakeholders involved early and create a plan.
