The Symplicity Communications Newsletter: February 2024 Edition

As we approach Valentine’s Day, a time traditionally dedicated to expressing love and affection, I find myself reflecting on the deeper meanings of love, inspired not by the season, but by a personal loss. Earlier this week, I bid farewell to my beloved grandmother, who passed away at the remarkable age of 99. Her life was a testament to strength, determination, and kindness, virtues that she instilled in me from a young age. In her final moments, her last words to me were, “I’m so proud of you.” These words, coming from someone I deeply love and admire, resonate with profound significance. How truly wonderful it is to know that someone you cherish holds you in such high regard.

This moment has led me to contemplate the essence of love, beyond the confines of romantic or familial ties. Love, in its purest form, is about connection, understanding, and mutual respect. It’s about the impact we have on each other’s lives, the support we offer, and the legacy we leave behind. My grandmother’s legacy, marked by her unwavering love and pride in her family, serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of nurturing these connections every day, not just on special occasions.

As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, let’s embrace a broader perspective of love, one that encompasses all forms of affection and appreciation. Let us also remember to express gratitude for those who have shaped us into who we are, just as my grandmother did for me. I wish you all a Happy Valentine’s Day, filled with love in its many forms. May we all strive to make our loved ones proud, just as my grandmother has made me, and continue to spread kindness and support in our community.

Warmly,

Catherine

Symplicity Celebrates the Holidays

Back in December, Symplicity Communications celebrated the holidays with some of our clients and trusted partners at Frederick Meijer Gardens! It was a great time celebrating and looking back at a successful 2023.

Symplicity Employee Retreat 2023

Just before Christmas, the Symplicity Communications team traveled up north to Petoskey, Michigan for a few days of team building, bonding, and planning for 2024.

It was a great chance to reminisce on the successes of 2023, and to discuss and brainstorm our plans on how to better serve our clients and find the best solutions in 2024.

We had a great time enjoying each other’s company and thinking of ways that we can continue to delight our customers!

Meet Paul Nagel

Help us congratulate Paul Nagel on his new title as the Chief CX Officer here at Symplicity Communications, Inc.!

Paul celebrated a year at Symplicity and his new title by taking a polar bear swim in northern Lake Michigan in December at the company retreat. Check out the proof below:

Recently, Paul traveled to Dallas to attend the Intelisys AMP’d for Growth technology event to learn more about AI, Large Language Models (LLM), and ChatGPT, and how businesses are finding new and innovative ways to use AI effectively and efficiently. Read more about what Paul learned at the event here.

Symplicity Communications Employee of the Year

Also, at the employee retreat back in December, we awarded our annual Symplicity Communications Employee of the Year to our Marketing Manager, Doug Seites! 2023 was Doug’s first full year at Symplicity Communications and he made a big impact for us. He helped oversee the creation of a brand-new website at symplicitycom.com, a new rebrand and logo for the company, and a shift in marketing strategy for us, while also assisting with Sales Administration duties.

Since he won’t talk about himself, here are some comments from the staff congratulating Doug on the honor:

“Doug absolutely deserved to win Employee of the Year for 2023!  He took ownership of the whole marketing area and in doing so furthered Symplicity’s online presence to show of our professionalism, our industry expertise, and status as a trusted partner with our clients. He creatively weaved educational topics, Symplicity’s capabilities, and glimpses of our human side, our team. His creative gifts, organizational skills, and drive to do the best he can do shows in everything he does. I truly appreciate his insights and willingness to help others.”

“Doug deserved the award because he is awesome! His mind works in a lot of creative, systematic ways that has led to some amazing, massive accomplishments within the company. This award is well-deserved!”

Congratulations Doug and thank you for all you do for Symplicty!
