Symplicity Communications, Inc. is proud to announce that the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council (WBC) Certification Committee has once again granted certification to Symplicity Communications as a WBENC Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE)
The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is the national organization certifying women-owned businesses. WBENC certification is one of the most widely recognized and respected certifications in the nation and is accepted by hundreds of corporations within the country and several federal, state, and local government agencies. The Great Lakes Women’s Business Council is one of 14 certifying partner organizations.
A Women’s Business Enterprise, commonly referred to as a WBE, is an independent business concern that is at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more women who are U.S. citizens or Legal Resident Aliens, whose business formation and principal place of business are in the U.S. or its territories, and whose management and daily operation is controlled by a woman with industry expertise.
“Renewing our Women Business Enterprise certification is more than a formality—it’s a celebration of female leadership and a testament to the strength of women-owned businesses driving innovation and impact,” said Catherine Ripley, President and CEO of Symplicity Communications.
Added Symplicity Communications Director of Operations, Carla Skuhrovec, “Being certified as a WBE through WBENC is more than just a credential, it’s a commitment to showing up, leading boldly, and breaking barriers for the women who come after us. It validates our seat at the table, while also reminding us that we’re building a bigger table for future generations. “
