Catherine Behrenbrinker founded Symplicity Communications in 2007 to help people avoid misleading sales practices during telecom purchases. By bringing respect, clarity and flexibility to the process, Symplicity Communications helps clients find peace of mind in a complex market. Her Midwestern values drive how she does business and selects the team that makes Symplicity special. Catherine possesses a great love for this industry and serves as a Co-chair for Inforum Michigan’s TechnologyNEXT program for women in technology.
Catherine Behrenbrinker founded Symplicity Communications, Inc. in 2007. Obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1996 in International Relations while minoring in French and studying Japanese, Catherine used her talents early in her career by working with global companies headquartered in United States, Germany and Israel before settling into the telecommunications industry in 2003.
Eventually, her hard work enabled her to grow Symplicity from the ground up. Now in its 18th year in business, Catherine and Symplicity have helped make IT and telecom “Symple” for hundreds of businesses by providing them with a deeper understanding of how they can improve their technology strategies. Catherine has grown her business to include 16 employees with clients ranging from small businesses to enterprise organizations. Catherine was named one of the Top Women Owned Business in 2017 and in 2018 Top 50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan by the Grand Rapids Business Journal. Symplicity was honored to be selected by the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce as the EPIC Women Owned Enterprise of the Year for 2018. In May 2021, Symplicity Communications, Inc. achieved certification status as a Women Owned Business from Women Business Enterprise Network (WBENC) organization and was certified as a Small Business Association of Michigan in August 2021. At the ScanSource and Intelisys Channel Connect 2023 Awards Dinner, Catherine was honored with both the Program Advocate Award from the Intelisys and ScanSource Diversity Partner Program and the prestigious Chuck Mache Award.
